Dan Steve Johnson

Dan Steve Johnson, age 76 of Shelby, NC, passed away Thursday, January 8, 2026. He was born November 14, 1949 in Rutherford County, NC to the late J.D. Johnson Jr. and the late Pauline Gold Johnson. Steve was a plumber by trade and will be remembered by his family as a loving son, brother and uncle.

Steve is survived by his brothers; Ted Johnson and Clay Johnson (Tammy), his sister Beth Johnson Clary (Carl) and three nephews; Terry Houser II (Debbie), Jeffrey Houser and Noah Johnson.

A private family service will be held at a later date. The family would like to extend sincere their thanks to Shelby Manor for the great care and love shown to Steve during his time with them. Eggers Funeral Home of Cliffside, NC served the family.
