Christopher Mark Cooksey

Christopher Mark Cooksey, 55, of Chesnee, South Carolina passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2024. He was born in Spartanburg on October 3, 1968 to Freida Yarbrough Cooksey and the late James Thomas Cooksey.

He was lead custodian of Rudolph G. Gordon School in Greenville and was an avid South Carolina Gamecocks fan.

In addition to his mother, Freida, he leaves behind his wife, Amanda May Miller Cooksey; sons, Christopher Mark Cooksey, Jr., John Thomas Cooksey, Zachary Lee Cooksey, and Daniel Miller; step-daughters, Kayla Dutton and Julia Miller; sister, Heather Nicole Corbin; and brother, James Dupre Cooksey.

The family will receive friends from 3:00PM until 5:00PM on Sunday, February 18, 2024 at Eggers Funeral Home of Chesnee. A funeral service will be held at 3:00PM on Monday, February 19, 2024 at Eggers Funeral Home of Chesnee with the Rev. Chad Quinn officiating.

A private burial will follow the service.
