Christine Jean Stenger

Christine J. Branowitzer Stenger, 82, of Boiling Springs, South Carolina, and formerly of Meadville, Pennsylvania, passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at her daughter's home.

Mrs. Stenger was born on October 11, 1942, in Sewickley, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of the late Helen Kichan Branowitzer and Theodore Branowitzer and the beloved wife of forty-five years to the late James Martin Stenger, Sr. She graduated from St. Veronica's Catholic School in Ambridge, Pennsylvania. Mrs. Stenger was a wonderful seamstress and cook and a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved to draw and color.

Left to cherish her memory are daughter, Kimberly Lindsey (Ralph), of Columbus, North Carolina; son, James Stenger (Laura), of Trophy Club, Texas; brother, Theodore Branowitzer (Marilyn), of John's Island, South Carolina; five grandchildren, Justin, Ashley, Christopher, Trey, and Rathgar; two great-grandchildren, Zoey and Colson; three step great-grandchildren, Kenslie, Kristyn, and Blake; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Stenger was predeceased by her parents and her husband.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, May 12, 2025, in the Chapel of Eggers Funeral Home of Boiling Springs, South Carolina, with Rev. Tim Worthy officiating.

The family will receive friends Monday prior to the service from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM.

Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
