Charles David Wilson, Sr.

Charles David Wilson, Sr., 77, of Boiling Springs, SC, passed away Friday, January 19, 2024.

Born in Green Creek, NC, he was the son of the late Charles Noah Wilson and Sarah Lucille Chesney Wilson. Mr. Wilson worked for 30 years as a Transporter with Spartanburg Regional Hospital. He was a member of Eden Wesleyan Church. He enjoyed playing golf with his friends and was very proud of his two hole-in-ones. Mr. Wilson loved his dogs, especially Sarah his toy Manchester Terrier. Mr. Wilson was also a member of Young at Heart at his church and Spartanburg Kennel Club. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Teresa Diane Wilson.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Wanda McCool Wilson; two sons, Charles David Wilson, Jr. (Jennifer) of Inman, SC and Robert Jeffrey Wilson (April) of Phoenix, AZ; nine grandchildren, Alex Wilson (Emily), Abbey Wilson, Ally Wilson, Aletheia Wilson, Martha Wilson, Luke Wilson, Hannah Wilson, Katherine Wilson and Isaiah Wilson; and twin great grandchildren, Briggs Wilson and Libba Wilson.

A funeral service to celebrate Mr. Wilson's life will be held at 12:00pm on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 in the Chapel of Eggers Funeral Home of Boiling Springs with the Rev. Richard Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Good Shepherd Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
