Cecilia Lawson Koon

Cecilia Lawson Koon, age 55, of Chesnee, went home to be with the Lord on May 22, 2026, at her home on Long Branch Road.

Born on June 20, 1970, Cecilia cherished time spent with her family and friends, loved the beach, and had a special love for butterflies. She also enjoyed shopping and the excitement of receiving packages from Temu. She will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and the love she shared with those closest to her.

She is survived by her husband, Scott Koon; her daughter, Madison Koon; her sons, Dustin Lawson and his wife, Angela Lawson, and Timothy Koon and his wife, Theresa Koon. Cecilia was also a beloved grandmother to six grandchildren: Tyler, Brock, Haylee, Dustin, Jordyn, and Rylee, all who she loved dearly.

She is also survived by her mother, Miriam O'Brien; her siblings, Randy Moss, Keith Moss, Lisa Lawson, Wanda Moss, and Jeremey O'Brien; and her best friends, Shawn and Cathy Fowler. She was preceded in death by her father, George O'Brien.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Tuesday, May 26th, at Egger's Funeral Home from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM in Chesnee.

Cecilia's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
