Cathy S. Childers

Cathy S. Childers, 74, of Chesnee, South Carolina went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, surrounded by family and friends. She was born August 25, 1950 to the late Clyde William and Joyce Seay.

A native of Spartanburg County, she was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a faithful member of her church, Sunday school class, and church choir. Cathy was a selfless, hardworking, caring lady, that loved gardening and flowers.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 54 years, Larry R. Childers; children, Jeremy Childers and Kerry Childers; grandchildren, Kayln M. Henderson and Laken R. Childers; sisters, Dedra S. Lee (Michael), Lisa Witzel, Jayne S. Tate, Tammy S. Gruber (Jim), and Candy S. Mabry (Nick); 11 nieces, 16 nephews, a special aunt, Juanita Seay, and countless special friends and loved ones.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Monday, June 30, 2025 at  Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with the Rev. David Turner and Rev. Fred Quidley officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00PM until 2:00PM, for one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery.

Cathy was so loved and will be missed terribly!
