Catherine "Cathy" Huffman Murphy

Catherine "Cathy" Huffman Murphy, 65, of Inman, SC, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 15, 2024.

Born in Spartanburg, SC, she was a daughter of the late Paul Doc Huffman and Hazel Juanita Pressley Huffman. Cathy was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She dearly loved her grandchildren. Cathy was a "mercy giver" and loved to minister to friends and family. She enjoyed traveling, especially to places that had beautiful scenic views. Cathy was a member of Green Point Baptist Church for 35 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Peggy Ener, Lena McBride, and Janet Blackwell.

Left to cherish Cathy's memory is her husband of 40 years, Dale Murphy; daughter, Angela Speer (Wade); step-daughter, Mary Chronister (Sean); two sisters, Paullette Jett (Doug) and Merle Parton (John); four grandchildren, Easton Speer, Everett Speer, Heather Chronister, and Ashley Chronister; and four great grandchildren.

A funeral service to celebrate Cathy' life will be held at 12:00pm on Monday, March 18, 2024 at Green Point Baptist Church with Dr. David Lancaster officiating. Burial will follow at Good Shepherd Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the church from 11:00am until 12:00pm prior to the service.
