Carolyn Smalley Wilson

Mrs. Carolyn Smalley Wilson, age 89, went home to be with the Lord Monday, August 26, 2024.

Mrs. Wilson was born January 10, 1935, in Gaffney, South Carolina, a daughter of the late Robert Marion Smalley and Bessie Sentel Smalley. Carolyn had a generous heart and gave selflessly to anyone in need. She loved her church, Boiling Springs First Baptist, and enjoyed reading the Bible, gospel music, reading, walking for exercise, and gardening.

Left to cherish Mrs. Wilson's memory are her daughter, Livia W. - Cantrell Jones, and husband Stephen; son, Mark L. Wilson, and wife Robin; grandchildren, Solomon Cantrell, Bella Cantrell, Rebecca Bright, Anna Gibbs (Alex), and Andrew Wilson (Christin); step-grandson, Carder Jones; great-grandchildren, Jackson and Amelia Bright, and Emerson, Boone, and Price Gibbs.

In addition to her husband, Lewis E. Wilson, she was preceded in death by her nine siblings, and son-in-law, Timothy L. Cantrell. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00PM Saturday, August 31, 2024, at Boiling Springs Memorial Gardens with the Reverend Ronnie Cox officiating.

The family will receive friends at Eggers Funeral Home of Boiling Springs from 1:00PM until 1:45PM Saturday prior to the graveside service.

Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
