Carolyn Pafford Henderson

Carolyn Pafford Henderson, 82, of Gaffney, South Carolina passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2024. She was born June 22, 1942 in Plant City, Florida to the late Joseph Marion Pafford and Martha F. Baldree Pafford.

Carolyn was a 1960 graduate of Berrien High School and graduated with Honors from Spartanburg Technical College in 2000. She attended Casey Creek Baptist Church. Carolyn loved sharing devotionals with her family, and enjoyed gardening, canning, and cooking.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 39 years, Larry Dean Henderson; daughters, Sherry Crews (Charles) and Tracy Carol Manley (Mike); sons, Jerry Collins and Carl Steve Collins; granddaughters, Amanda Nicole Collins, Shannon Renee' Joiner (Blair), Brittany Nicole Dampier (Austin), and Layla Breanna Hope Collins; grandsons, Jeremy Brian Collins (Karalee), Dylan Nathaniel Hendsbee (Amber), Charles Joseph Crews (Ashley), Cody Scott Collins (Ashlyn), Joshua Tyler Collins; great granddaughters, Taylor Laine Roland (Jason), Margaret Ashley Smith (Joshua), Henley Grace Crews, Lily Grace Dampier, and Stella Brooke Dampier; great grandsons, Quinn Hendsbee, Brayden Harvey Joiner, Joseph Bryce Crews, and Hayden Grant Crews; great great granddaughters, Bryleigh Renee' Joiner, Emeryson Blair Smith, and Elinor Collin's; great great grandson, Jackson Collins; sister, Barbara P. Taylor; and sister-in-law, Rachel Pafford. She is also survived by Larry's daughters, Lisa Stewart (Shawn), Deana Jowers (Will), and Marla Ross (Jason); granddaughters, Jillian Stewart (Lumen), Elizabeth Jowers McDowell (Michael), Virginia Henderson, Anastasia Ross, and Naomi Ross; grandsons, Thaddeus Stewart (Kelly), Micah Stewart, Ethan Jowers, Gideon Jowers, Ian Henderson, and Elisha Ross.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Joseph Scott Collins; grandson, Shawn Austin Collins (son of Steve Collins); sister, Faye P. Moore; and brothers, Joseph Carl Pafford, John Randall Pafford, and James Carol Pafford.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00PM on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at Casey Creek Baptist church with the Rev. Blair Joiner and Rev. Todd Lydia officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 2:00PM until 3:00PM, one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Springhill Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Chad Crews, Cody Collins, Tyler Collins, Thad Stewart, Ethan Jowers, and Gideon Jowers.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Mike and Trish Bonnett, Tammy Hill, Lisa Solomon, Michelle Denly, Minerva and Johnny Horn, Stephanie and Chad Robertson, Frannie and Greg Stockwell, Jennifer Pafford, Sherry and Clint Thompson, and Heather and Shelby Thompson.
