Carl Patrick Gibson, Sr.

Carl Patrick "Pat" Gibson, Sr., of Inman, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, January 7, 2024. Pat was a veteran of the United States Air Force and retired from the Industrial Equipment Industry.  He enjoyed working on antique clocks, crafting leather, and camping with his nieces and nephews.  He was also a volunteer with various ministries over the years, including the Soup Kitchen, Spartanburg Humane Society, Kentucky Coal Miners Ministry, and the Livesay Prison Ministry.  He was an active member of Stable Life Worship Center.

Pat was born May 3, 1941, a son of the late Joseph Carl and Kathyrn Hicks Gibson.  He is survived by his wife, Maranda Hill Gibson; children, DeAnn Beatty (Mike) of Charlotte, NC, Pat Gibson, Jr. of Greenville, SC, Mike Gibson (Shirley) of Hampton, VA, and Tina McMillan of Lyman, SC; six grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren; sister, Carlene Styles (Ronnie); brother, Edwin Gibson (Linda); and sisters-in-law, Resher Gibson, and Jane Gibson.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Louise Mcleod; brothers, Joseph Gibson, and Donald Gibson; and daughter-in-law, Debbie Gibson.

A graveside service will be held at Boiling Springs Memorial Gardens at 12:00PM on Thursday, January 11, 2024, with Pastor Joe White officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
