Broughton Eugene Taylor

Broughton Eugene Taylor, of Spartanburg, passed away on April 16, 2025, at the age of 77.

Mr. Taylor was born, in Polk County, North Carolina, June 7, 1947, a son of the late, Hollis Taylor and Annie Bell Rhymer Taylor. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and remained dedicated to his fellow veterans as a member of American Legion Post 200.

Broughton is lovingly remembered by his wife, Pauline Jones Taylor; sons, Wesley Taylor (Dana), Kevin Walker, and Chad Walker (Terri); brother, Joseph Taylor (Martha); sister, Mary Lee Womack (Carroll); eight grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Helen Taylor; brother-in-law, Stewart Taylor; and his "fur babies", Buddy and Cuppy.

His memory is also cherished by extended family members and friends who knew him throughout his life.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Raymond Taylor, and sisters, Ernestine Taylor and Jeanette Matheny.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, April 19, 2025, in the Chapel of Eggers Funeral Home of Boiling Springs with military honors.
