Brenda Lee Parker Newberry

Brenda Lee Parker Newberry, age 76, of Chesnee, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 20, 2026, at the Upstate Hospice House surrounded by her family.

Born on June 5, 1949, in Shelby, North Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Ralph Elzie Parker and Kathleen Williams Guinn and Sank Othal Guinn.

Brenda loved making her famous peach cobbler and the ham her family often requested.  She enjoyed spending time cruising and enjoying the beauty of the warm blue ocean and beaches. Brenda had a special love for babies and adored her cats who were her fur babies.

She was survived by her beloved husband, David Carlton Newberry, Jr.; children: Dana Lee Pack Burch (Keith), Douglas Wayne Pack (Rhonda), and Terry Pack, Jr. (Jennifer); sisters, Wanda Parker Roll (Robert), Lynda Ruth Marvel, Bobbie Jo Parker, and Rebecca Parker Hodge; brothers, Ralph Parker McSwain, and David Bruce Guinn (Susan); grandchildren, Kelsi Osborne (Jerome), Madison Pack, Joshua Icenhower (Lindsay), Jessica Icenhower (Dallas), Kellie Burch, Kirkland Pack (Kayci), Kristen Bingel, Hailey Johansen (Kevin), Chasity, Trey Pack, and Neely Bowman, along with numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; and Jan Pace, a special friend who was more like a sister.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her daughter, Tracey Kathleen Juray; son, Donald Bruce Pack; sister, Tammy Parker; and grandson, DyIan Wilkerson.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, in the Eggers Funeral Home Chapel of Boiling Springs officiated by the Rev. Dr. David Lancaster.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at Eggers Funeral Home of Boiling Springs.
