Brenda Horton Mcdonald

Brenda Horton McDonald, age 79, of Boiling Springs, SC, went to be with the Lord after a lengthy battle with cancer on June 10, 2023.

Born in Boiling Springs, SC, she was a daughter of the late Hollis Henry and Bertha Wall Horton.  Mrs. McDonald was a longtime member of Boiling Springs First Baptist Church. She was known for her generosity and kindness to people and animals.

Mrs. McDonald is survived by sister, Rebecca Marlowe; sister-in-law, Ima Jean Horton; stepson, Nolan McDonald; step grandson and his wife, children, and grandchildren; as well as beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James "Jim" W. McDonald; sister, Juanita Stepp; and brother, James Horton.

The family would like to thank Hospice and all the medical professionals who cared for her, with special thanks to Dr. Steven Corso and his team for their love and dedication.  Also, thanks to her extraordinary neighbors who became part of our family and to the special people who provided new homes for her beloved pets.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.  The families are at their respective homes.
