Bobbie Jean Killen Gilbert

Bobbie Jean Killen Gilbert, 86, of Boiling Springs, SC, passed away Saturday, September 9, 2023 at her home.

Born in Columbia, SC, she was a daughter of the late William Fisher Killen and Bertha Aline Hayes Killen, as well as birth mother, Audrey Langford Brown. Mrs. Gilbert was a member of United Baptist Church, and past President of the Spartanburg Christian Women's Club, WMU, and Birthday Girls Club. She was a loving wife, nurturing mother, treasured grandmother and great grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Frank Gilbert; two sons, Dale Gilbert and Billy Gilbert; sister, Aline Waddell; and two brothers, M.C. Smith and Gary Brown.

Left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Nancy Gilbert Owen (Scott) and Nicole Gilbert McClain (Jason); son, Bobby Gilbert (Phoebe); two sisters, Patty Richardson (Jim) and Linda Gibson; daughter-in-law, Terri Gilbert; nine grandchildren, Kyleigh, Kaity, Brandice, Benjamin, Brian, Bradley, Amber, Andrea, and Carter; and nine great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at Good Shepherd Memorial Park with the Rev. Robert Emory and Rev. Gregorio Castillo officiating.
