Billy Gene Hawkins Jr

Billy Gene Hawkins Jr., age 67 of Mooresboro, NC, passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at his home. He was born on January 3, 1956 in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Billy gene Hawkins Sr. and the late Shirley Elizabeth Nolan Hawkins. Billy was a loving dad and pepaw. He loved to listen to music and play his guitar. He enjoyed cooking, fishing, going to the flea market and taking trips to the lake and sit by the fire while spending quality time with family and friends.

Billy is survived by his children; Ashlea Hawkins and Brandon Hawkins, the mother of Billy Jr's children Shawn Padgett. His grandchildren; Rylea Mode, Kyndra Phillips, Jaycob Hawkins, and his good friend Angelie Bridges.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at Goodes Grove Baptist Church in Mooresboro from 2:00pm to 3:00pm. A family conducted memorial service will be at 3:00pm at Goodes Grove Baptist Church with Reverend Robby Hensley officiating.
