Betty Ellen Wright McKinney

Betty Ellen Wright McKinney, 83, of Chesnee, South Carolina passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2026. She was born September 21, 1942 in Spartanburg to the late Robert Leroy Wright and Bernice Hughey Wright.

Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister. She loved working in her flower garden and enjoyed watching golf on TV.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Lisa McKinney Fortner (John); and sons, Vincent McKinney (Kathy), Tony McKinney (Margaret), and Barry McKinney; as well as 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Betty was predeceased by her husband, Leslie McKinney; sister, Barbara McClellan; and brother, Lamar Wright.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, September 5, 2026 at Graham Chapel Wesleyan Church, with Rev. John Fortner officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The funeral home will be open for those wishing to pay their respects on Friday, September 4, 2026, from 12:00 NOON until 5:00 PM.
