Betty Morgan Settle

Betty Lucille Morgan Settle, age of 96 of Spartanburg, SC, passed away at home on Friday, October 27, 2023. She was born on September 9, 1927 in Campobello, SC to the late Fate Morgan and the late Olene Harris Morgan. She was a member of Cudd Memorial Baptist Church where she was part of the Homemakers Class for many years. Betty loved spending time with her family, especially all of her grandchildren and will be dearly missed by her entire family.

Betty is survived by son, Carlton Settle and his wife, Beverly; daughter, Pam Hawkins, and her husband, Jerry; sister, Merle Lundy; grandchildren, Misti Burgess, and husband,Paul, Brooke Martin, and husband, Josh, and Justin Jackson; great grandchildren, Cam Brown, Kasen Martin, and Morgan K. Burgess.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by sister, Alma Jean Settle, and three brothers; James Morgan, Thomas Morgan, and Joe Morgan.

Graveside services will be Monday, October 30, 2023 at 2:00pm at Good Shepherd Memorial Park in Boiling Springs, SC with Reverend Ronnie Norris and Reverend Kris Showen officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Cudd Memorial Baptist Church 1301 Boiling Springs Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29303 or to Mobile Meals of Spartanburg County 419 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29302.

The family would like to extend thanks to Dr. Steve P. Hess and his staff at Westgate Family Physicians for the loving care shown to Betty while she was their patient. Eggers Funeral Home is serving the family.
