Barbara Ann Storey Blankenship

Barbara Ann Storey Blankenship, age 77 of Rutherfordton, NC, had her heavenly departure on Sunday, December 28, 2025 at her home. She was born September 21, 1948 in Allentown, PA to the late Robert Willis Storey and the late Margaret Neimeyer Storey. Barbara was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She greatly enjoyed caring for family and others. Barbara is of the Christian faith and enjoyed Charles Stanley's teachings and Jimmy Swaggart's singing. She always trusted in the Lord and taught her family to pray, to love and forgiveness.

Mom will be greatly missed, but we praise the Lord she is walking and dancing all around Heaven!

It is not good bye… it is see you soon!

Barbara leaves her three children; Paulina Blankenship Broome (Ronald), Diane Blankenship Rice and Robert Wayne Blankenship JR (Rhonda), many grandchildren, great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren in the care of the Lord.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years Robert Wayne Blankenship Sr.

Graveside services will be at 3:00pm Friday, January 2, 2026 at Eternal Hills Memorial Park in Forest City, NC with Reverend Ted Blankenship officiating. Burial will immediately follow. Eggers Funeral Home of Cliffside, NC is serving the family.
