Annie Faye Bridges Lawter

Annie Faye Bridges Lawter, 95, of Inman, SC, passed away Thursday, September 5, 2024.

Born in Spartanburg, SC, she was a daughter of the late Stephen L. Bridges and Annie Hughey Bridges. She was affectionately known as "Granny" to all who knew her. Mrs. Lawter was a member of Lake Bowen Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Defoye Lawter; five sisters, Virginia Elder, Ruby Cantrell, Lougenia Williams, Irene Thomas and Sara Bridges; two brothers, Alfred Bridges and J.L. Bridges; and two granddaughters, Chelsey Mitchell and Carlyn Mitchell.

Mrs. Lawter is survived by two daughters, Betty Mitchell (Eddy) and Linda Faye Lawter; two sons, Stephen Roy Lawter (Debbie) and Jonathan "Johnny" Lawter (Wanda); five grandchildren, Billy Mitchell (Missie), Pam Owens (Travis), Chris Lawter, Matthew Lawter (Mandy) and Heather Harvell (Dustin); four great-grandchildren, William Mitchell (Logan), Cason Owens, Camden Owens and Trent Lawter; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a very special "Thank you" to all the staff at Spartanburg Regional Hospice and Mrs. Lawter's caregivers, Ann Marie Garwood and Patty Ericsson for the love and care they provided to their mother.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 in the Chapel of Eggers Funeral Home of Boiling Springs with Pastor Kenny McDowell and the Rev. Brad Atkins officiating. Burial will follow at Good Shepherd Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service from 12:00pm until 1:00pm.

Pallbearers will be Chris Lawter, Matthew Lawter, Trent Lawter, Billy Mitchell, William Mitchell, Cason Owens and Camden Owens.
