Annette Elaine Brigman Moss

Mrs. Annette Elaine Brigman Moss, better known as “Nat” or “Nana,” age 67, loving wife of the late Curtis Wayne Moss, Sr., passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at her residence.

Born in Buncombe County, NC, on September 9, 1959, to the late Troy and Judy Austin Brigman, Nat worked in the cafeteria for Spartanburg County School District 2. During her time with District 2, she loved seeing the children every day and making memories with them. Outside of work, she loved watching TV shows, including NCIS, Little House on the Prairie, The Waltons, and many more. Nat loved Christmas, especially decorating for it, crafting, sewing, playing cards, collecting knick-knacks and Christmas decorations, cooking, helping in the kitchen, and crocheting. She was a devoted mother who truly loved her kids, grandkids, and sisters, and she was a loving “Nana” to everybody who met her.

Nat was a 4-foot, 10-inch “stick of dynamite” who would clearly vocalize her thoughts about anything. One thing she was known for vocalizing was her dislike for the “F” word, even though her son-in-law would aggravate her by saying it just to get a reaction. All in all, family was Nat’s most prized possession, and she cherished and loved each and every member.

Nat is survived by her two children, Curtis Moss, Jr., of Inman and Tia Martinez and her husband, John, of Gaffney; her grandchildren, Breanna Coleman, Christian Moss, John Martinez, Charlie Martinez, and Mary Juliette Martinez; two brothers, Jeffrey Troy Brigman and his wife, Luann, of Alabama and Joey Brigman of Inman; and two sisters, Cheri Byers and her husband, Robert, of Inman and Eva Ellen Gillespie and her husband, John, of Boiling Springs.

In addition to her loving husband and her parents, Nat was preceded in death by her siblings, Tracey Dean Brigman, Wendell Scott Brigman, Christopher Brigman, and Shannon Mae Zimmerman.

The family will hold a private celebration of Nat’s life at a later date.
