Alton Lee Thompson

Alton Lee Thompson, 91, of Inman, SC passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2023.

Born in Chesnee, SC, he was the son of the late Buford Thompson and Corrie Hines Thompson. He proudly served in the US Army during the Korean War. Alton retired from Waste Management. He was a member of Green Point Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by ten siblings.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 68 years, Carolyn Cash Thompson; daughter, Denise Clary (Glenn); son, Phil Thompson (Nici); two grandchildren, Nick Thompson and Anna Thompson; and three great grandchildren, Sophia Thompson, Ellagrace Clary and Kimberly Bragg.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens with Dr. David Lancaster officiating.
