Alton Stanley Snyder

Alton Stanley Snyder, 60, of Chesnee, SC, passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2024.

Born in Asheville, NC, he was a son of Darius Tyrone Snyder and the late Mamie Lee Holtzclaw Snyder. Stanley was a man of a strong work ethic and a highly respected individual by others. He rarely met a stranger and could talk to almost anyone. He was such a blessing to his family and friends; they knew they could always depend on him. Stanley knew how to repair almost anything with 4 wheels and gave some of the best advice. Some of his favorite things to do were riding ATVs with friends, taking daytrips to the mountains on the weekends, going hiking, and lighting the grill and having a cookout with friends and family. Stanley loved the thrill of racing in any form and seemed to always have a wrench in his hands. His favorite type of cars was the big block Mopar cars.

In addition to his father, Stanley is survived by his loving wife of nearly 30 years, Sandra Richards Snyder; three daughters, Nadine Snyder (Michael), Elizabeth Snyder, and Kristen Snyder; sister, Connie Snyder; two brothers, Jeff Snyder (Norma) and Barry Snyder; three grandchildren; and three nephews, Matthew Snyder (Holly), Joseph Snyder (Melissa), and Trae Campbell (Beth).

The family will receive friends from 5:00pm to 8:00pm on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at Eggers Funeral Home of Boiling Springs.

The funeral service will be private.
