Allan Mckissick Little

Allan McKissick Little, 91, of Jonesville, South Carolina, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 16, 2025. He was born in Union County on November 18, 1934, to the late Grace Kitchens Little and WJ Little. He was a member of Foster's Chapel Methodist Church.

He was a man known for his hard work and quiet wisdom, spending his life close to the land he loved. As a logger and a farmer, he knew the value of long days, and honest labor. He worked not for recognition, but to provide, and to leave things better than he found them.

Those who knew him well knew his greatest joy was his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a patient teacher and a steady presence, sharing lessons not just through words, but through time spent together. In the pastures, he taught them how to drive, guiding their hands on the wheel and their confidence along the way. He filled those moments with laughter, making up songs and silly rhymes that became treasured memories and stories often retold. You can find bits of his humor in his children and grandchildren who he instilled his joy of life into.

Wise in ways that cannot be taught, he offered advice gently and lived his values faithfully. His life was one of integrity, and humor, rooted deeply in family and the simple blessings of everyday life.

He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his kindness, and the wisdom he shared.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Joan Wheeler Little; daughter, Mary Pacolette Genoble, and husband, Tommy; son, Todd Allan Little; granddaughters, Elizabeth "Liza" Pacolette Genoble, and fiancé Gray Ransom, Margaret "Maggie" Grace Genoble, and Ella Paige Genoble; grandson, Hayden Allan Genoble, and wife,  Ariel; great granddaughter expected in February, Jane Genoble; as well as a very special friend, Ed Littlejohn. He also leaves behind a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Grace and WJ, he was predeceased by a son, Dan "Danny" Frederick Little; sisters, Jean L. Garner, Gloria L. Barnette, Anne L. Adams, and Rebecca "Beck" L. Garner.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 21, 2025, at 3:00PM at Foster's Chapel Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Lee Coyle and Rev. Chad Ponder. The family will receive friends from 2:00PM until 3:00PM, one hour prior to the service at the church.

Pallbearers will be Hayden Genoble, John Garner, Paul Little Barnette, Heath Belue, Steve "Buck" Smith, and Dicky Fowler.

Interment will follow at Porter Gallman Cemetery with Masonic Rites.

The family will be at the home of his daughter, with the exception of Saturday, as they will be unavailable to receive friends due to the wedding of Liza and Gray at the family home.
