Alexandria Stewart, 72, passed away at Spartanburg Regional Hospital and is now home with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Her song she picked many years ago for her memorial is “Going Up Yonder”.
Born on April 21, 1954, in New York, Alexandria was the beloved daughter of the late Louis Demetriades and Julia Schmitt Demetriades.
Alexandria was preceded in death by her loving husband of 30 years, John J. Stewart.
Alexandria will be remembered for the love and the lasting impact she made on the lives of those closest to her. Her memory will forever remain in those hearts.
Left to cherish her precious memories are her devoted son and caretaker, Joshua Stewart, his loving wife, Rocio, daughters, Doreen and Chrissy, and her sweet, cherished granddaughter, Emma, and soon to be grandson, Nico. Other children she had were RJ, John, Cynthia and Ben.
To Emma she was Nana. Nana was such an impact on Emma. Emma’s last words to Nana in the hospital was “I love you Nana…bye” with tears in her little brown eyes.
Though her passing leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of her family, her love, memories, and legacy will live on through the lives she touched. Her family finds comfort in knowing that she is at peace in the presence of God.
She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten by her family.
Rest in glory, Mama! We love you.
