Albert Decky Hamrick

Albert Decky Hamrick, age 73 of Mooresboro, passed away Thursday, November 9, 2023. He was born August 10, 1950 in Rutherford County, NC to the late George Hamrick and the late Tena Ree Painter Hamrick. Decky was a longtime TV repairman and spent many years as a security guard for different places and had retired from his last security job at Duke Power after many years. He was a man of few words but if he picked on you or went on with you, then know that you meant something to him. Decky took pride in keeping his uniforms neat and clean and passed that down to his son Jeff. In his own way Decky was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by his family.

Decky is survived by his wife Linda Dixon Hamrick of the home, his son Jeff Hamrick and his wife Janie, his step daughter Becky Parris and his grandchildren; Kaitlyn, Kelsey, Klaycie and Ellis.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his grandson Adam Parris, two brothers and one sister.

Graveside services will be at 10:00am on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at Springhill Memorial Gardens in Chesnee, SC with Reverend Jeff Queen officiating.
