| Obituary: |
Mr. Hutchins was a native of Spartanburg County and was a son of the late G. J. and Eliza Wall Hutchins. He was a graduate of Boiling Springs High School, a retired maintenance inspector at Drayton Mills for 43 years, a World War II Army veteran, having served in Germany and Austria, and was a member of Fairview Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons and daughters in law: Gary and Nancy Hutchins, Monroe and Debra Hutchins and Timothy and Vickie Hutchins all of Spartanburg; one sister: Stella Spencer of Spartanburg; two brothers: Gimearl J. Hutchins, Jr. of Columbia and Ray Hutchins of Spartanburg. Five grandchildren, Cheryl, Chris, Casey, Addie Hutchins and Karrie Looney, as well as four great grandchildren also survive him. He was predeceased by two brothers: W. H. Hutchins and Irwin Hutchins and one sister: Naomi Eubanks.
Rev. Charlie Glover and Rev. Richard Hall will officiate. The body will lie in state for one hour prior to the service. Pallbearers will be Jerry Wayne Hutchins, Leslie Hutchins, Gerald Hutchins, Charles Hutchins, David Fowler and Eddie Merck.
