Harold “Bub” Eugene Hammett, 68, of 1150 Peach Valley Circle, passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at Spartanburg Regional Hospital. He was the widower of Linda Seay Hammett and the son of the late Barney and Gladys Davis Hammett
He was retired from RR Donnelley and a member of Fairview Baptist Church.
He is survived by a daughter Teshia Hammett Hair and husband Drew; brothers Ned Hammett and wife Doris, Danny Hammett and wife Revonda; sisters Doris Billings, Peggy Padgett and husband John; brother-in-law Dan Seay; sisters-in-law Carol Easler and husband Lloyd, Bonnie Emory; grandchildren Grace Anna and Cole Hair; many nieces and nephews and many little friends that knew him as “Papa Bub.”
Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, April 1, 2010 at Eggers Funeral Home, Boiling Springs.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 2, 2010 at Green Point Baptist Church officiated by the Rev. Ty Childers and Dr. David Lancaster. Burial will follow at Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family would like to offer a special thank you to the staff at Palmetto Hematology and the Oncology Floor at Spartanburg Regional.
