Clyde Oscar “Peanut” McKelvey, 60, of 181 Riverbluff Ext., passed away Sunday, March 7, 2010 at Spartanburg Regional Hospital. He was the son of the late Volney and Mamie Thrift McKelvey
He was formerly employed as a truck driver with Omnisource SE, a US Army Veteran and of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years Clara “Becky” Hall McKelvey; son Clyde McKelvey, Jr. and wife Elaine; daughters Wendy Watson and husband Dennis, Tami Camacho and husband Francisco; brothers Troy McKelvey and wife Tammy, Roy McKelvey and wife Ilean; sisters Daisy Hall, Hazel Matthews, Jo England; sister-in-law Betty McKelvey and 8 grandchildren.
He is predeceased by a brother Volney “Shorty” McKelvey.
Visitation will be held from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at Eggers Funeral Home, Boiling Springs.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at Good Shepherd Memorial Park. The Revs. Fred Seigfried, Trent Watson, Mark Parris and Roosevelt Kimble will officiate.
The family is at the home.
