Simmie Ray Tucker
Cowpens, SC
Simmie Ray Tucker, 75, of 163 Seagle Road, Cowpens, passed away Thursday, March 4, 2010. A native of Union, he was the husband of Eula Lowe Tucker of the home and the son of the late Clarence and Leona Davis Tucker. Mr. Tucker was a member of the Masons and was retired from the heating and air business in 1979.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Tammy Tucker Lawson of Cowpens; one brother; four sisters; five grandchildren, Brandon, Joshua and Amber Lawson, Jena Oxford and Melissa Phelps; and three great-grandchildren, Kinsley and Aubrey “Tater-Tot” Oxford and Tucker Phelps. He was preceded in death by one son, Steven Ray Tucker, one sister and six brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, March 6, 2010, at Eggers Funeral Home Chapel of Chesnee with the Pastor Joshua Lawson officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 PM prior to the service at the Eggers Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Springhill Memorial Gardens.
